Cape Town International Boat Show

The Cape Town International Boat Show, South Africa's leading boat, show took place from 5-7 October 2007 at the CTICC. This year the Boat Show played host to the most exhibitors in the sailing and power boat industries ever assembled in one venue in South Africa, and the PermagardSA team were present to answer yacht/boat maintenance, cleaning and protection queries.

Frequently Asked Questions on Permagard Marine(FAQ's)

Q: Why not stick to the traditional method of cleaning a yacht by cutting and polishing?
A: The abrasive action removes the oxidised film by cutting away the actual surface structure leaving the surface with a reduced layer of pigment and a polished resin. This restoration is temporary and the surface soon chalks over. Which calls for more polishing. Eventually this constant abrading reduces the finish to such a porous state that further polishing has no effect.

Q: So what sets Permagard apart from other polish or waxing methods?
A: A surface treated with Permagard P5000 will not wear done or oxidise, and will not need to be resprayed. The Permagard product fills in scratches rather than reduce the integrity of the gel coat or paint by layers being eventually eroded down. Permagard does not contain ANY silicone which is the base of most waxes/polishes and is understood to be harmful.

Conclusion:

NEVER WAX, CUT OR POLISH - EVER AGAIN!

Which gives you more time to enjoy the sun, surf and sport.
